Patrick Arnold of LPJ Research can be considered the "father" of Pro-Hormone supplementation. Dr. Michael G. Kurilla, M.D. has extensive education, work experience, and sound reasoning which shows in his articles. He holds an M.D. and Ph.D. in molecular virology from Duke University. He received Pathology training at the Brigham & Women's Hospital and performed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University with the head of infectious diseases at the Brigham & Women's Hospital.  He is currently on the faculty at the University of Virginia in the departments of Pathology and Microbiology. He divides his time between clinical duties at the Clinical Microbiology for the University of Virginia hospital and basic research on viral immunology.

Michael C. Prevost, Ph.D., is an Aerospace Physiologist for the US Navy where he performs teaching and curriculum development in the areas of aerospace physiology, spatial disorientation, stress and human performance, aircrew survival equipment and nutrition and fitness. Dr. Prevost received his Ph.D. from Louisiana State University in Exercise Physiology. While at LSU, he received training in exercise physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, pulmonary physiology, body composition, human performance, radiotracer methodology and more. He designed and executed original research projects and was involved with obtaining and analyzing data for protein biochemistry, enzyme analysis, blood chemistry, pulmonary physiology, and isokinetic muscle testing. Prior to graduate school, he received a B.A. from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. During his years at USL he vigorously pursued a bodybuilding program, adding 60 pounds of muscle to his physique. Optimizing the Zone with Medium Chain Triglycerides by Michael C. Prevost, Ph.D. - Medium chain triglycerides were introduced to the bodybuilding world in the late 80's. They were touted as a fat that behaved like a carbohydrate. Although MCTs were received with much fanfare, interest soon waned as bodybuilders found the combination to be ineffective. The recent popularity of lower carbohydrate diets like the Zone diet justifies another look at MCTs. The special properties of MCTs make them ideal for optimizing this high tech dieting approach.
