Creatine is a natural substance found in the body that plays a very powerful

been shown to increase the resynthesis of ATP (andenosine triphosphate) from

Prolab Nutrition's creatine monohydrate is produced in Germany in an
ISO 9000 & 9001 certified factory. An ISO certification is the highest
award a laboratory or factory can achieve. It surpasses the standards of OTC
and even surpasses the strict standards of pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Creatine Monohydrate is produced via a chemical synthesis route. The
synthesis is done by reacting sarcosine sodium salt with cyanamide
under heated conditions. Sarcosine sodium salt is a derivative of acetic
acid. Cyanamide is an organic amide. When the process is complete, the
sodium salt is rinsed away and the finished product is then redried.
This critical step insures there is no residual sodium common to incomplete
processing. Further information on specific processing conditions and
equipment used in the manufacture of creatine monohydrate is considered
proprietary and the process patent protected.
The finished product then undergoes rigid testing for purity against a
creatine monohydrate standard. Through a process called High Performance
Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) the creatine is tested for its level of purity.
Creatine monohydrate under this testing procedure will typically score as 99%
pure creatine monohydrate. This purity test is the only test the majority of
companies will conduct on their product.
The finished product is further tested for impurities that would indicate
product instability. The results of instability are product degradation
and breakdown. Breakdown causes formation of impurities common to incomplete
synthesis. Industrial grade raw materials to start the creatine monohydrate
processing will also result in the formation and build-up of impurities with
unknown, yet potentially harmful toxilogical properties. Our raw materials
