August 05, 2013Reviewer: larry in Indiana* i read all the reviews and the ingredients very well. we made them per the instructions. i was not impressed. they were like crepes, very thin. i found them to be very grainy. we added vanilla and a bit of cinnamon for flavor which helped. but i would not buy this brand again. the product i feel it is very expensive for what you get. This review is specific to Carb Counters Pancake and Waffle Mix
November 18, 2012Reviewer: Sean in South Carolina* I've tried most of the low-carb pancake mixes. These are the best ones I've found, but they're still not anything that I would order a second time. Even in a well-seasoned cast iron skillet, they had a tendency to stick, especially if I turned them right at 30 seconds like the package says to do.
The presentation was very nice; they had a really good appearance. They are extremely thin, and the batter was very watery.
The flavor was just slightly off for me. I could pick up the undertones of the eggs that are used in the batter, and that turned me off. I don't like fried eggs, but that's the taste that I got. I tried two different syrups on them, but neither really did the job. This review is specific to Carb Counters Pancake and Waffle Mix
